A comforting American classic featuring a savory meatloaf glazed to perfection, served alongside creamy mashed potatoes.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
In a large bowl, combine 500 g of ground beef, 1 cup of breadcrumbs, 1 large egg, 0.5 cup of milk, 1 tsp of black pepper, and 1 tsp of salt. Mix well until fully combined.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix 0.25 cup of ketchup and 2 tbsp of brown sugar. Spread this glaze evenly over the meatloaf.
Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until cooked through.
Meanwhile, peel and chop 600 g of baby potatoes, then boil them in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
Drain the potatoes, then mash them with 2 tbsp of butter and 0.5 cup of almond milk until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve slices of meatloaf with a generous helping of mashed potatoes.
