A delicious Italian-American bake featuring savory sausage and creamy ricotta, layered and baked to perfection.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
In a skillet, cook 500g of sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
In a bowl, combine 250g of ricotta cheese, 0.5 cup of grated parmesan cheese, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of the sausage mixture on the bottom. Layer with 3 sheets of lasagna noodles, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, and then another layer of sausage. Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining noodles on top.
Spread 1 can of canned diced tomatoes over the last layer of noodles, sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese, and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbling.
Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
