In a bowl, mix 1 cup of buttermilk with 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Add 4 pieces of chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
In another bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper. Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture.
Heat 2 cups of oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix 0.5 cup of the frying oil with 3 tablespoons of cayenne pepper and 0.5 tablespoon of brown sugar to make the hot sauce.
Brush the hot sauce over the fried chicken and serve with sides like coleslaw and pickles.
