A quick and easy dinner featuring orecchiette pasta tossed with baby broccoli, sweet Italian sausage, and a flavorful basil pesto.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the orecchiette pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove the sausage from its casing, crumble, and add it to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the baby broccoli to the skillet with the sausage and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender.
Drain the cooked pasta, reserving 0.5 cup of the pasta water. Add the pasta to the skillet with the sausage and broccoli.
Stir in the basil pesto and enough reserved pasta water to create a light sauce that coats the pasta.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
