In a bowl, combine 0.5 tsp salt, 0.5 tsp black pepper, and 0.5 tsp garlic powder. Season the chicken thighs evenly with this spice mix.
Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until melted and bubbly. Add the seasoned chicken thighs skin-side down.
Sear the chicken for about 7 minutes until browned and crispy, then flip and cook for another 7 minutes.
Add 4 cloves minced garlic and the juice of 1 lemon to the skillet. Cook for another 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the garlic is fragrant.
Remove the skillet from heat and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving, spooning any pan juices over the top.
