Traditional spicy rice cakes stir-fried with jasmine rice, fermented kimchi, and tender beef - a complete Korean comfort food dinner that transforms street food into a satisfying meal.

Cook jasmine rice according to package instructions and set aside.
In a large pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef sirloin and sear until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the garlic and onion, sautéing until fragrant and softened, about 3 minutes.
Add the tteok-bokki rice cakes to the pan and stir-fry for 5 minutes until slightly softened.
Stir in the cooked jasmine rice, kimchi, gochujang, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir-fry everything together for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.
Return the beef to the pan and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes until the beef is heated through.
Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
