A delicious Italian-inspired dish featuring bell peppers stuffed with a savory mixture of Italian sausage, ricotta cheese, fresh basil, and marinara sauce.

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and cook the Italian sausage for approximately 8 minutes, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.
In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, ricotta cheese, chopped basil, and half of the marinara sauce. Mix until well combined.
Stuff each bell pepper with the sausage and ricotta mixture, pressing it in tightly.
Place the stuffed bell peppers in a baking dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the peppers are tender.
Serve hot, garnished with extra basil if desired.
