In a mixing bowl, combine 0.5 cup soy sauce, 0.25 cup gochujang, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 4 cloves garlic (minced), and 0.25 cup scallions (chopped) to create the marinade.
Add 500 g sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef for about 5-7 minutes per side or until slightly charred and cooked through.
While the beef is grilling, cook 2 cups basmati rice according to package instructions.
Serve the grilled bulgogi beef over the rice and garnish with additional scallions if desired.
