Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
In a large skillet, cook 500g of ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add 1 tablespoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin, and 0.5 teaspoon of salt to the beef. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked beef mixture, followed by 1 cup of canned diced tomatoes, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
Repeat the layers with the remaining beef, another cup of diced tomatoes, and top with 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with lime wedges and cilantro.
