Tender BBQ ribs coated in a smoky-sweet barbecue sauce, served with fluffy cornbread for a classic Southern meal.

baby back or spare ribs
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius).
Season the ribs with salt and black pepper. Place them on a baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil.
Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2 hours until tender.
While the ribs are baking, prepare the cornbread by mixing together 1 cup of cornmeal, 1 cup of milk, and 1 egg in a bowl until smooth.
Pour the cornbread mixture into a greased baking dish and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Remove the foil from the ribs and brush your favorite barbecue sauce generously over the top.
Increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) and bake for an additional 15 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize.
Serve the BBQ ribs hot with slices of cornbread on the side.
