Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 8 minutes. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Once cooled, crumble into pieces.
Using the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook over medium heat until caramelized, about 15 minutes, stirring often.
Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet. Evenly distribute the caramelized onions over the flatbreads, followed by the crumbled bacon.
Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the flatbreads are crispy.
Remove from the oven and immediately top with fresh arugula.
Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top before serving.
